In October 2017, Irmela Heinsius was appointed as the managing director of Hotel Alsik in Sonderborg, which is the first hotel in Denmark that is managed by RIMC. Irmela Heinsius is German and has started her new job while the hotel is still being built. She is now living in Sønderborg in order to be close to the construction site.
One of the first important tasks for the new hotel director will be to create the hotel management team. This will happen during the Spring of 2018. The remaining approx. 130 positions which are divided between the hotel, the restaurants, the conference facilities and the spa, will be filled at the start of 2019.
Having been in the business for almost 30 years, Irmela Heinsius has an impressive wealth of experience within the international hotel industry including hotel management and sales & marketing. She has been responsible for several start-ups of new hotels and is thus experienced in the planning of pre-opening activities.

RIMC Hotels & Resorts in Hamburg is an international company which specialises in the managing of hotels and has an impressive reference list. With expansion plans within Europe RIMC is busily engaged in large hotel projects. Having opened two hotels in 2017 in Lörrach (Steigenberger Hotel Stadt Lörrach) and in Berlin (Hotel the YARD), RIMC has another two hotels in the pre-opening stage: the Nordport Plaza Hotel at the Hamburg airport which is scheduled to open in 2018 and Hotel Alsik in Sønderborg, Denmark, which opens in the Spring of 2019.
