The research park in which Bitten & Mads Clausen's Foundation hold shares, has changed its name. From now on, it will be known as ‘The Knowledge Park Alsion A/S’.
The new name reflects a strategic shift that arises from the fact that the Research Park also encompassed educational dimensions. This was not compatible with a foundation based on commercial activities. In order to reach a solution, it was agreed with the municipality of Sønderborg that the municipality would take over the lease for two floors of the research park and, at the same time, they would withdraw from the circle of shareholders.
The change of name to The Knowledge Park Alsion A/S was also carried out to reflect more accurately the activity of the organisation. At the same time, the new name emphasises the association with Bitten & Mads Clausen's Foundation, which is also the co-owner of Videnshuset (The Knowledge House) which is located opposite at Nørre Havnegade 43. The change in the ownership of The Research Park South A/S means that The Knowledge Park Alsion A/S now forms a subsidiary of Bitten & Mads Clausen's Foundation.
