Thursday September 30th marks the day of the topping-off ceremony for the forthcoming Community for Senior Citizens in the Town’s Harbour. It consists of three buildings now standing at their full heights of 5, 6 and 7 floors respectively.
The buildings for the Community for Senior Citizens will cover 4,600 square meters and will contain 44 apartments. There will also be communal facilities for the residents. The construction has been certified in accordance with DGNB Gold demonstrating that it is being built to high standards of sustainability.
The Community for Senior Citizens is an investment partnership between PFA and Bitten & Mads Clausen’s Foundation. PFA is providing 70% of the investment and is thus the majority investor. The two developers celebrated the first milestone in the construction by holding a topping-out ceremony on the ground floor of the first of the three buildings. The craftsmen, advisors and partners were all invited.
The construction work began in January 2021, when piles were driven on the site. Since then, progress has been steady, and everything has gone to plan. The Community for Senior Citizens is expected to be ready for occupancy in late summer 2022.
Interested tenants will be able to view a show apartment as early as January 2022. PFA's customers will have priority access to the apartments, and registration for the apartments is possible 6 months before moving in. Interested tenants can keep themselves informed via PFA's homepage.
The Community for Senior Citizens is being built by Daugaard Petersen as main contractor with Etos Ingeniører as consulting engineer. Reiulf Ramstad Architects designed the Community for Senior Citizens.
