Bitten & Mads Clausen’s Foundation is a co-investor in Borgen Shopping Center in Sønderborg.
Borgen (The Castle) is a city shopping centre with access from the established pedestrian street of the city as well as from the commercially attractive street called “Jernbanegade”. Inside Borgen there are 50 shops and a large Kvickly supermarket. Borgen offers the best labels for fashion, home furnishing, taste, sport, lifestyle and for children. With the large selection of restaurants and cafés, the customers have plenty opportunity to relax during their visit.
To enhance the long-term future for the centre, the owners decided in 2016 to invest an extra 49 million Danish Kroner in the construction of a new and modern movie theatre as part of the shopping centre. The cinema opened in 2018 and is the most modern movie theatre in Southern Jutland, featuring the best and most modern display techniques.
